‘Tis was a quiet and lazy day
The sun, sluggish in its sway
Sending ashen rays across the panes
Like an unannounced Dane
The dizzy wind stromped and dug
Like a lazy ocean’s stuffy hug,
Splaying cold slitters to my dulled nerves.
There, my stay, my damp reserve.
The night before bore much rigour,
Startling my dazed night with vigour
Banished from strength, I lay in Day’s wake
Like a broken kingdom with no lake.
Then for God’s love, I heard a whisperer
Nearing my clammy world with a song
Singing me to the urgency of impending loon!
For the world, quote, will soon swoon!!
I am stirred to pronounce!
It is written in Earth’s stars
To bend some day and end
For her dated expiry nears.
So lend hands and hearts
To sing this noble ballad
To justify man’s call
For eternity becons
